The 2025 Minnesota Legislature passed a law that amends Minnesota Statute 144.3831 to

increase the safe drinking water service connection fee. Effective January 1, 2026 the fee

will be $1.27          

All customers are allowed 3,333 gallons of water per month with their minimum charge. The

cost currently is $3.82 per 1,000 gallons over the allowed amount. January 1, 2026 the new

cost will $4.82 per 1,000 gallons over your allowed amount.
